Saffron Road, a company that makes a nice line of high quality, convenient halal food products, has come out with two new flavors of Crunch Chickpeas: Korean BBQ and Chipotle.

As the labels indicate, I’m also so happy to know that they’re made with organic chickpeas, they’re Non-GMO verified and gluten- free. I love snacks just as much as the next person, but I don’t often buy them because of how many unhealthy ingredients there are in so many products these days- so these are absolutely great on both the halal and the healthy notions.
You can also add them to salads, or put them on top of hummus for a crunchy and decorative bite, too.

As a kid I remember loving a certain snack mix that had pretzels, salty toast bites and a spicy nut of some sort. Later, I learned that the snack (which is probably still around), had MSG and a lot of other artificial ingredients in it. Yuck. So, I now make my own snack mix with lightly-salted pretzels…

To serve about 4 snacking people, I used:
1 cup each of the Saffron Road Chipotle Crunchy Chickpeas, Saffron Road Korean BBQ Crunchy Chickpeas, pretzels, and mixed nuts.
What else would you mix in?
